What is Bankhall Preparatory School?

A home-education provision for 5-11 year-olds with a primary focus on character building and secondary focus on attaining excellent SATS results.

We believe that young people are holistic beings – mind, body, heart and soul – and we nurture these aspects in unison not in silo, so the next generations grow into emotionally strong young people as individuals but also inspiring the wider community. This means young children should learn, from a young age, how to carry themselves in society. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “Be kind to your children, and perfect their manners.”

All teachers are professional, qualified primary school teachers with a wealth of knowledge and experience. They are dedicated to educating (not just schooling) young people in their specialist subjects.

Yes, assessments will take place every half term and feedback will be given to parents at the end of each term. Reports are provided at the end of each year. Parents meetings take place at least once a year.

Fees are calculated according to the 36 weeks we teach. Fees are paid either annually (at the start of the academic year), or monthly via direct debit only. Whether you take time off or not, the fee stands.

If you have paid annually, then you will receive a refund based on the minimum one term.

We may provide some extra lessons in key subjects during the year for revision. This is usually carried out during school hours.

We work in partnership with other organisations to organise trips/activities every half term. This sometimes incurs additional costs. Parents will need to fill in a google form if they wish their child to take part in an extra curricular activity.

Term-time holidays will not be authorised during term-time and a fine will be applicable.  There is no reduction of fees during these times.

Please feel free to book an appointment to come and see us. Your child can trial out a day.
